Good luck to all Hackney students!
Over the past few weeks, students from across Hackney have been busy sitting their GCSE and A-Level exams, hoping that all their hard work will bring even greater success than their predecessors achieved last year.
To help give those students an extra boost, The Learning Trust and a number of Hackney secondary schools have designed, printed and installed large ‘good luck’ banners across the borough. Each banner uses the Success in the Making theme, with the ingredients of success chosen by a group of students from each school.
Last year, Hackney schools were the country’s most improved at GCSE, with results climbing above the national average for the first time in the borough’s history. That success was mirrored at post-16, with Hackney ranked as the country’s second most improved authority per student and the third most improved per subject studied.
GCSE results are published this year on Tuesday August 24, with A Level results made public the previous week on Thursday 19 August.
