When Alan met Auntie
The Learning Trust chief executive Alan Wood was interviewed this month at the Trust by John Humphrys, presenter of Radio 4’s flagship Today programme.
The meeting will feature in a documentary about social mobility, which will form the centrepiece of a season of programmes about education to be broadcast on BBC2 this September. The programme aims to examine how much children’s education can influence their social mobility and what the key factors are that can drive this.
John and Alan spent over an hour talking about how The Learning Trust came into being and how we have helped to bring about a huge improvement in the quality of education and care provided in Hackney’s schools and settings.
